Smoky Fried Whiting

Crispy Fried Whiting Fish, seasoned to perfection with a smoky homemade fish fry blend.

  • Wash the fish with the lemon juice and water. Pat dry with paper towels and set aside.
  • Heat oil in a cast iron skillet or frying pan on medium heat.
  • To make the fish fry, mix the corn meal, sea salt, black pepper, garlic powder, cayenne pepper and smoked paprika in a shallow dish.
  • Thoroughly coat the fish with the fish fry on each side.
  • Add the fish to the pan to fry 2-3 pieces at a time, depending on your pan size. Fry 4-5 minutes on each side until brown & crispy.
  • Drain fish on paper towels.
  • Serve hot with your favorite hot sauce.



You can use this fish fry mix to fry any type of fish. Add and omit seasonings to your liking.
